What:
The Clintonville Woman's Club Club House will be open to all. They are part of the Ohio History Connection Open Doors program. That program features historical buildings throughout the state. Yes, our very own CWC Club House made the list!
They will have card tables out on the Gallery and you are welcome (encouraged) to play bridge, euchre, mahjong, canasta, etc.
They will have the CWC film showing on Stage during the open house.
Mary Rodgers will delight us with a presentation on the architectural features of the Club House and provide stories about the architect and builder of the facility.
We would love you to bring your 1960 memories with you. If you have a game (Twister, Mystery Date, The Game of Life, etc), some music (The Beatles), books (To Kill a Mockingbird, Catch-22, etc.) or maybe some 1960s fun fashion, bring it along to share!
They will also be collecting your 1960s memories. Guests will have index cards to write those memories down. We will share some with the crowd and donate them all to the Clintonville Historical Society.
Light refreshments will be on hand.
Plan on coming over to the Club House on Sunday September 13 from 2-4 pm. Oh-and it happens to be Clintonville's Birthday!

Clintonville's roots go back to the late 1700s, when land was awarded to Revolutionary War veterans. In 1813, a minister named Thomas Bull purchased a large portion of this land. To attract skilled workers, Bull offered free houses and shops, leading to a small community along what is now High Street. This community, situated near the center of Clinton Township (named after Vice President George Clinton), became known as Clintonville. The arrival of the mail service in 1847 solidified Clintonville's presence on the map.
